In Sunford, we don't have those boring linear travel-routes. You're allowed to go anywhere you want after you have received your first Pokémon/starter kit. But, if you want to go to the Victory road, all I can say to you is good luck. To put it bluntly, the wild Pokémon will kick your ass to next Thursday. Think realistically when planning where to travel next. There will be Trainers and Wild Pokémon at appropriate levels for you to take on and fight to level up no matter what level your Pokémon is. The same logic applies to Gyms; you’re allowed to take on any Gym you want. This can be helpful if your current team has a type-disadvantage but your character must be pretty thick-headed to think he can beat the eighth gym with his/her brand-new starter, but nobody would stop you if you want to try.
Leveling up is quite simple. No need for calculating exp, damage and HP. You'll receive levels depending on the Pokémon you're fighting and who owns it. Gym Leader's Pokémon give the most levels, then other trainer's Pokémon, and lastly wild Pokémon. Battles in the Battle Complex can give as many levels as if you were battling a Gym Leader.
Wild Pokémon
You win; The wild Pokémon is at least 3 levels higher than your Pokémon +2 levels
You win; The Pokémon is less than 3 levels higher than your Pokémon +1 level
You win; The Pokémon is the same or 2 levels lower than your Pokémon +1
You win; The Pokémon is 3 or more levels lower than your Pokémon +0
You lose; Your Pokémon faints +0
Trained Pokémon
You win; The opponent's Pokémon is at least 3 levels higher than your Pokémon +3 levels
You win; The Pokémon is less than 3 levels higher than your Pokémon +2 level
You win; The Pokémon is the same or 2 levels lower than your Pokémon +2
You win; The Pokémon is 3 or more levels lower than your Pokémon +1
You lose; Your Pokémon faints +1
Gym Pokémon/Battle Complex
You win; The opponent's Pokémon is at least 3 levels higher than your Pokémon +5 levels
You win; The Pokémon is less than 3 levels higher than your Pokémon +3 level
You win; The Pokémon is the same or 2 levels lower than your Pokémon +2
You win; The Pokémon is 3 or more levels lower than your Pokémon +2
You lose; Your Pokémon faints +1
In double/triple/rotation battles the levels will be distributed depending on the situation. As an example: Your Shroomish and Grovyle are facing a Gym Leader in a double battle. They manage to knock one of the Pokémon out and are both given +2 levels each. The next turn the Shroomish faints and will be given another +1 level. Grovyle will not be leveling up and must continue the battle
If you want to catch a new pokemon for your team in a wild thread then you need to use the following code at the bottom of your thread and make sure you have a wishlist of your ideal pokemon in your pc. Then a mod will look at your wishlist and decide to give you maybe a pokemon from it, maybe a pokemon that's the same type or even maybe something totally random. Make sure to put (Mod) in the title of your thread so the mods know its a wild pokemon thread and they can get to it ASAP.
