NAME: Marina "Reina" Amberly Jackson
AGE: twenty six
GENDER: Female
SEXUALITY: Homosexual, Homoromantic
BIRTHPLACE: Lilycove City, Hoenn
CLASS: Spy (Team Prism)
FACE CLAIM: Rika Minami - High School of the Dead
APPEARANCE:Reina is a rather tall woman, standing at about five feet and ten inches. She is skinny for her size, although it is obvious she keeps is good shape. Her skin is a dark tan, her eyes honey-colored in comparison. There doesn't seem to be any distinguishable features on the woman, nor any blemish; any she does have is often covered up my makeup. The only notable thing is a dragon tattoo that wraps around right arm; the tail protruding onto her palm while the head is situated on her shoulder. Her purple hair, growing past her shoulders and naturally curly even if it is frequently dyed, is often kept in a ponytail with some strands still hanging around her face. Her fingernails are often done up in various colors, and they seem to change at least once a week.
Her clothing often consists of a dark color white beater covered up by a leather jacket, jeans with a spiky belt that her Pokeballs hang from, a pair of heels or steel toed boots, and a side bag sized purse she uses to carry all of her valuables in.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Tattoo on right arm.
HEIGHT: 5'10"
WEIGHT: 125
PERSONALITY:On the outside, Reina appears to be a rather adaptable and adventurous young woman, always looking for new experiences and places to explore. Handling tough situations with a clear and level head is something she can do quite easily, and often has to on a daily basis. She can also be quite daring, willing to face any obstacle in her way with rugged determination and willpower. She doesn't appear to be afraid of much at times, although her hard headedness can often get in her way at times. That doesn't stop her from keeping a high spirit even in the oddest or most difficult of situations.
Don't let all of this fool you, however. While most of the previous tends to keep true, underneath it all, Reina can be quite deceiving. She is very deceitful and calculating when she wants to get her way, and can appear quite charming to those she wishes to deceive. Those that tend to fall victim to her are those whom she can easily earn trust from, such as the naive and weak hearted. She is very dedicated to the cause and is not a person one would worry about as an underling. She is very sarcastic at times of great stress, and can be a colorful person at the best of times.
She can be very abrasive and straight forward at times when she is showing her true colors, and isn't afraid to tell people how it is in general. She can definitely appear friendly and aloof at times. When it comes to those close to her, she is rather reliable, especially when it comes to her job. Reina tends to be very passionate about it, only allowing a few people in on what she actually does for a living. Such a job has mended her to become very clever and observant in her ways.
HISTORY:Marina Jackson was born and spent most of her childhood in the city of Lilycove in the Hoenn region; and while the city was very beautiful, known for it's contests and great resorts, Reina's life was all but perfect. Being the youngest of three and older than one - her oldest sister, Jessica Renee, who was four years older than she, and Riley Kyle, who was one year older than she; and Andrew Reid, who was three years younger than she - Marina's family lived in semi-constant poverty. Marina's mother was the main breadwinner of the family, as her and her older sibling's father had deserted the family when Marina was only two when he was caught cheating on their mother. Their step-father, Michael Smith, worked as a meager employee for the Department Store.
They lived this until Rein's eighth birthday. By this time, Reina and her siblings had been accustomed to shoplifting as a way to survive; a skill their own mother had taught them, and told to only use it when it was absolutely necessary. While Reina was keen to listen to her mother, she sometimes found herself grabbing things that they didn't need to survive one - nice clothes, bracelets, toys, the likes. She would tuck them away in the room she shared with Andrew. Jessica had, by now, started out on a journey in order to help her family survive; sending her family money when she could afford to. Riley had just began his own adventure, after their mother had scraped together what little she could for a decent little 'starter kit'.
When Reina reached age eight, her step father earned a promotion at work - and thus a new and bigger source of income. While this did not lift the family entirely out of the hole they were able to live day to day without any fears of going hungry or the lights getting cut off. Reina found, however that she came to like the idea of stealing; it become a bad habit for the young girl, one that she could not so easily shake in the oncoming years.
At age ten, Reina was given a little bit more money to spend when it came to getting her starter, due to her step-father's raise and her eldest sister chipping in (not to mention that she had stolen small items such as packets of gum and candy bars, from the local Department Store and sold them to the children in her class), and thus was given to option of where to go for her first adventure. Reina, of all places chose the Unova Region. There she asked for a Snivy - of whom she would later trade out for a Purrloin caught on the first route, or rather the first town.
The Purrlion had been reeking havoc on some of the residents there and so it was with enthusiasm that Reina had captured the Purllion and named it Donella, and the two became practically inseparable. While they ventured through Unova, they came to the conclusion that they were both really good at one thing - sneaking. A few badges were earned here and there over their year or so traveling, yet they never made it to the Pokemon League. Reina preferred the shadows more than the crowds that the League held, anyway.
Traveling around like this would suit Reina until she became about twenty. By now, she was obviously a grown woman. Her eldest sister became a part of the Police Force back home, her brother a Ranger; and her youngest brother a trainer. Her mother and step father were living moderately comfortably now that she and her siblings were out of the house; though they still tried to help their children as much as they could, and vise versa. Reina didn't. This gave her a decent cover for all the money she managed to acquire.
Her life of mostly thieving and hawking the items off for money was cut short, however, when she stole from the wrong person. The last thing she had remembered before being taken was thinking about what she was going to do with once she hawked off the Pokemon she'd taken for money - then she was suddenly somewhere dark, unable to move. As she would later come to find out, she had taken from a high ranking Team Rocket member, and they wanted 'justice.' It was some grueling time later when Reina's pleas were answered - the girl being given a chance to join them in exchange for an extra cut on whatever she got. Thus started her life of crime. Well, more intense crime, anyway.
This went on for more than a few years - six years, to be exact, until, like all times when Rocket attempts to reassemble, it came crumbling down. Reina was lucky enough to not get caught red handed in anything that wasn't more than a petty crime - but then she was out of a job. She had done well to mask her career as a member of a criminal organization by feigning that she was a trainer; this, of course, was false, but without a job her mother and step father might wander where her source of income was. Desperate for another job, Reina began moving from place to place in the hopes of finding one.
One eventually found her in the form of a type of reference, once she landed upon the shores of the Sunford Region. It had been apparent that a few of her former comrades had made their way here as well, and had wormed their way into the lower ranks of Team Prism. She had run into a few on her trek through the region, and was half drugged to their base by her comrades to be signed up. It took her no time to earn the title of spy - she had learned to be sneaky when she was but just a thief, and knew how to act whenever put on the spot.
Here's to her not screwing it up.
