The Sunford Region is an old region, owned by the Eldgroth family for a few generations and sparsely populated by humans. Pokemon however have always lived here, sculpting the region and working aside humans to make it a place for all to enjoy. This was the way things were for many years before, as always, some humans wanted to change things. A Group within the region decided they wanted away with pokemon, to make everyone equal. Why did pokemon chose to bond to some and not others? No, they thought it would be best if no one had pokemon at all! They want to capture all the Pokemon - wild and trainer alike - and stow them away.
And so Mister Eldgroth decided to begin to allow new people in to his region, trainer and breeders and all new types of people were welcomed in to combat the newly named Team Prism. A gym system soon sprung up and a new Elite 4 was soon in place, trainers began to swarm in to the region with the promise of the chance to take a Pokemon out in to the world and be gifted a pokedex.
The aim of all this was of course to catch Team Prism. However it was soon discovered that more than merely catching and keep pokemon from people was happening hidden within the region, and these new findings would change the pokemon world forever. A group of scientists had begun taking Pokemon and fusing them together. Splicing DNA and creating new Pokemon altogether. They have released a few in to the world and a few more have managed to find their way out of their capture, but have kept most secret, searching for a way to give them to trainers to test their experiment.
The Sunford Region is now open to new people coming in to it, to combat Team Prism or become a part of it, To find these new fusemon or to hide them away, to explore this new region and to see what it can offer!
