The young woman with light locks framing her face and a disgruntled attitude walked along the road which led to the center of the village. While her hands rested in her pockets, her feet shuffled apprehensively along the dirt path, eyes occasionally diverting from the earth to ensure that her body didn't knock into someone. Her gaze, scrunched slightly, seemed dull against the sunlight -- was she wary about the situation? Perhaps even a little nervous? It was a given as she tightly swallowed, feeling a knot along her throat. Truthfully, Raede was unsure of this trek. The road ahead would be tough, she knew that much. Maybe it was better to reject the dream and notion of the journey and just head home? Thoughts were reeling, swirling violently about within her mind; it was evident she was having doubts, second thoughts. She sighed, abruptly stopping motion. Her left hand rose to rub the nape of her neck, face wincing only because of her troubled thoughts.
She couldn't turn back now, no matter the difficulty of the road ahead.
She wanted this. Her father and mother encouraged her. She couldn't let his declaration be in vain! Glancing up at the skyline, the woman noted the beautiful sun and the blue horizon. And, well, after contemplation, she realized that -- albeit older than the average trainer -- Raede was determined to work hard, to see the world, to be proud of her future accomplishments. Resuming her walk toward the laboratory, she gained a new-found fire, a spark.
Reaching the doors, she'd knock along the panel, waiting for a response.
Trainers have been coming in to see me a lot recently. They all want a starting pokemon to go off on some journey with. I am fine with that, but it feels like they think I have an endless supply of pokemon. Then there are some rude ones which just come barging in on you. I find that really annoying, when they just run in and say: 'GIMME DAT POKEMON.' It gets old very, very quickly, but some trainer just don't get the memo. I sigh and take off my glasses, rubbing the upper part of my nose, where it is right between my eyes. I then here a knock on the door and I stand up to get it. At least this person has the decency to knock before entering. I make it to the door and swing it open.
In front of me is a young woman, about twenty years old. We don't get many people of this age, but we get enough for it to not be uncommen. "I'm assuming your here for your first pokemon?" I say in a peppy voice, putting on a smile like I'm supposed to. "First, I will need to know what your leaning more towards, being a trainer, coordinator, breeder, that sort of thing. Then, I will need to know who you want your first pokemon to be! I say happily to the woman.

Raede was a tad surprised as the door swung open, revealing whom she assumed was the Pokemon Professor. Grinning and chuckling sheepishly, embarrassed that she might have jumped a bit in astonishment, Raede muttered, "Oh, hello there." Rubbing the nape of her neck with her left hand, she was asked a question. "Yup, looking for my first pokemon." She answered, hand returning to the adjacent pocket along her pants.
Then, she needed to figure out what 'class' she found interest in. It was a simple thought, concluding within a second or two of pondering, "Trainer." The step that came next was difficult... The decision of which pokemon would be her companion. Biting her lip, she dwelled on the possibilities, finally asking, "Well, what pokemon do you have?" It was a simple inquiry, hopefully one that the professor didn't mind answering. Raede didn't know what starter Pokemon was in her possession, so figuring out what she could and couldn't start out with would make her decision easier... hopefully.
She couldn't go for certain pokemon, or based on types, could she?
Wow, this trainer really was polite compared to the others. I am so glad as all other trainers barge in screaming what pokemon they want, having read the list outside already. I smile at the girl as she asks what pokemon there are to choose from. Maybe I should have let her stand out there a little longer, then maybe she would have seen the list up outside. I continue smiling though and say politely, "Ok then, I will just grab the list for trainers in a second." I rush to my desk to quickly grab a leaf of paper. Who would memorize all the starters? That would just be weird. I hand it off to the girl and I say cheerily as I just snuck a peek at the paper. "Your choices are Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Starly, Lotad, and Sentret" I say, taking in a deep breath after blurting out all the names of the pokemon she could choose from
OOC: sorry its short. School just started today and everything is crazy.

(OOC: That's understandable and okay! ^^)
Raede contemplated the options. Boy, was that a vast amount of pokemon to choose from! It gave her a headache, almost! Thankfully, she didn't outwardly groan, instead making a surprised face when she muttered the long string of names. Quite the list! She felt bad making the Professor list them all. Rubbing her chin, she took a look at the paper, mumbling incoherently to herself. Who would she pick? What would she decide on? The choices, the choices!
"My, this is difficult... hm..." She chuckled again, feeling awkward that she was having a difficult time making the decision -- she felt bad that she was holding the woman up from her duties as well. Finally, she chimed, "I think it's best that I go with Chimchar, please." She said politely and requested, sighing in relief that she made a choice. It was about time, too! Gazing at the woman, Raede awaited her response with a slight bout of anxiety -- it was actually happening! Her journey would soon begin!
I smiled to myself, and as the girl was deciding, I walked over to my desk andnpicked up the items she would need to start off with. I smile and say, "A Chimchar? Ok then." Chimchar was an unusual choice. For some reason what I had observed form being a proffessor here is that for some reason trainers tend not to pick the pokemon that came from the Sinnoh region. I walk to the back and grab a pokeball containing a Chimchar. I walk back out and hand it over to the new trainer, along with all her new equipment. "There you go!" I say cheerily.
Ooc: sorry it took so long. Also, you get to create the moveset, gender, and personality of the chimchar I beleive!

[OOC: No worries! Sorry for my late reply. ^^ And, will I do that in the PC?]
Raede watched with gusto as the woman motioned over to her desk, preparing what looked like gear for Raede's journey. It was nice of them to even pack a bag for the trainer's trek, she thought! Hands clasping against one another at her frontside, Raede's digits fumbled with one another, awaiting as she observed the professor. She still couldn't believe it was actually happening; albeit later than expected, but still! Smiling and slightly biting her lip, her crimson-gold oculars watched as the professor headed to the back, returning with a pokeball. Chimchar must have been inside, already! And, the professor soon gave the items to her, making Raede fidget to place the equipment along her backside, and she grasped the pokeball within her hands, which still remained on her anterior side. "Thank you!" She muttered with a smile, wondering if now was the time to leave. She did take a few steps back awkwardly, figuring that if the professor had anything else to add, she'd say it. That would get Raede to stop from departing, probably!
